The vision
We propose the building of a European Silk Road connecting the industrial centres of Western Europe with the continent's populous but less developed regions further east. This will generate more growth and employment, thereby improving living standards. A European Silk Road would also drive greater political, personal and cultural cooperation in Europe, and help to generate a new narrative for the continent.
